If you have experienced trauma or emotional distress at the hands of someone you loved and trusted, the healing process can take some time. In our article about Learning to Forgive, we discuss how forgiveness allows you to let go feelings of bitterness, resentment, and vengeance you have against another person. We suggest that you don’t do this for them, but that you do it for yourself.
